AM General delivers 11 prototype vehicles to U.S. Government.

AM General awarded initial production contract for 55,000 U.S. military vehicles.

First production HUMVEE ® completed.

AM General awarded additional production contract for 33,331 military vehicles.

Initial design work for Hummer ® begins.

AM General announces intent to market Hummer ® to public.

100,000th HUMVEE ® produced.

First Hummer ® delivered.
